Kenzania was conceived by Margie Springer during a mission trip to Iringa, Tanzania in 2008. Upon her return, Margie’s high school friend and designer, Lisa Nichols, suggested they “look into” having clothes made in Kenya. One year later Kenzania was producing in Kenya and Tanzania. Kenzania is sold exclusively online and through boutique shows.
Margie holds a BS degree in History from the University of Virginia (1983) and a BS degree in Marketing from the University of Alabama (1988). While in school Margie worked for two different ladies boutiques in both a sales and marketing role. Since graduation, Margie has raised 3 children and volunteered in numerous non-profit organizations. She has been the president of many of those organizations as well as a trustee on several community boards. Margie brings many years of experience in fundraising and campaign management to her role as President of Kenzania.
